I design and handcraft each piece in my home based studio, using high quality metals and stones. This business is a one woman show, so to ensure that operations run smoothly, I’ve installed various policies that are outlined below. I adhere strictly to these policies.

It is your responsibility to read and understand this information before placing an order. The act of placing an order indicates that you agree to and will act in accordance with my policies. After you’ve read this page in entirety, if you have any questions that aren't answered here, please feel free to email me (sistersunjewelry@live.ca).

Please use email as opposed to social media for any important or time sensitive matters. Instagram DM or other social media is not reliable for this since it is a more causal platform and messages and comments can fall through the cracks. I do not conduct business via DM.

✦ How to Purchase ✦

Payment is accepted via PayPal or direct checkout.

Due to the handmade nature of my work, my shop is not stocked 24/7. If there are no pieces available on my website, this is because I am entirely sold out. I put great care and attention into each piece, and I appreciate everyone who is so patient while I create new jewels to replenish my virtual shelves.

✦ Sizing ✦

Due to the handmade nature of my pieces, all ring sizes and chain lengths are final and cannot be altered. Unless stated in the item description.

Sizing information for each piece can be found both in the title and details section of each listing. I size my rings using an industry standard mandrel of American ring sizes. {A mandrel is a tapered tool you slide your ring onto to check the size.} However, when it comes to a wide band, which I use often for my rings, it may feel more snug than the size it reads on the mandrel. A wide band ring that is technically a size 6 on the mandrel may fit more like a 5 1/2 or 5 3/4, especially for those with a fleshier bottom part of the finger, since this style compresses that skin. For this reason, I recommend that most people size up slightly - by 1/4 to 1/2 size - when purchasing wide band rings.

If you're unsure of your ring size, please visit your local jeweler or any shop that sells engagement rings. They'll be able to size you, and in most cases can also specifically size you for a wide band upon request, and you'll also be able to try on various styles of rings to see what fits you best. This simple extra step eliminates the guess work and is an easy way to ensure you purchase the correct size.

✦ Shipping ✦

Orders typically ship within 3 business days. Both domestic and international buyers are able to choose between First Class or Priority Mail upon checkout.  1-5 business days to.  1-8 weeks international depending on the chosen rate and destination.

Postage prices are calculated upon checkout and also vary based on the chosen rate and destination. For international orders, prices can also vary based on the cost of an item (i.e. any package with a value of $400+ must be sent Priority Mail International, which is the more costly rate. This is a USPS/international mail policy, not mine).

I try my best to adhere to 1-3 business days processing time, and usually orders ship on time, but please note that I am a one woman show and sometimes orders fall a day or two behind due to sickness or other extenuating circumstances.

I maintain the right to alter ship times should these events occur. If you are concerned with an item arriving for a particular date, please email me immediately after purchase and we can make sure you receive your piece when you need it. When your order ships, you will receive tracking information via the email address or phone number you entered at checkout.

I am not liable for items lost in the mail, although I will gladly do everything in my power to help you track it down.

✦ Returns ✦

To avoid the need for refunds or exchanges, PLEASE read shop listings thoroughly. I work hard to write clear and concise descriptions that contain all the information necessary to avoid confusion and make an informed purchase. Most issues are easily avoided by a thorough read of the item's listing and examination of the photos.

I am aware that because my collections tend to sell out quickly, people are shopping in a rush, but this is why I include as much information as possible in my preview posts on Instagram (@sistersunjewelry), or from my mailing list.

I do not allow returns or exchanges based on wrong size or buyer's remorse. Please know your size and budget and think carefully about your purchase before ordering my jewelry. All listings include sizes and measurements.

If you are truly dissatisfied with your purchase or there was a mistake on my end, please email me and we can discuss the best option. My goal is to satisfy all of my customers, and I'm willing and ready to resolve any issues to the best of my ability.

✦ Jewelry Care ✦

Handmade jewelry is artwork and should be treated as such to ensure its longevity. Please use common sense. Care for your jewelry as you would any precious object. Avoid wet and strenuous activity while wearing jewelry and remove for swimming, showering, applying lotion, playing sports, hand washing, etc. Various chemicals found in perfume, sprays, and other cosmetics can damage stones and patina, cause spotting on the metal, and amplify tarnish. No polish or patina is 100% permanent, but it can last a very long time with intentional care.

✦ Repairs ✦

I construct my pieces with the utmost care and high quality materials. They are built to last lifetimes, but all jewelry occasionally needs some TLC. Should that need arise, please contact me via email (sistersunjewelry@live.ca), with explanation and photos of the damage or issue. Certain repairs and tune-ups I am happy to take myself, while others will be outsourced to my trusted repair shop. This, along with cost and timeline, is assessed on a case-by-case basis.
